Ta moko tradition

 Hi bloggers,

This term for inquiry we are doing it about cultures, for this task we had to pick one thing to research out of ta moko, Korowai/kakahu, or the haka. I chose a ta moko. They are tattoos on your face that Moari does this to show that they are Moari and to show who they are. They use to be done with uhi dipped in a dark pigment, ta, now they are usually done with needles but some people still do it the traditional way. Usually, the design is of your family, prosperity, travel, strength, your career path, or a Maori tribe.

protagonists and antagonists literacy

 Hi bloggers,

How were your holidays? I didn't do much in the holidays, but for our first week back at school w have been doing lots of things like athletics practice and loads of other stuff throughout the week. To start the term, for literacy we are working on writing kids books with protagonists and antagonists in the stories. For our first task, we had to look at 4 books and write find the protagonist and antagonist in it and write about why they are protagonists and antagonists. I did the three little pigs, snow white, sleeping beauty, and cinderella.
