Day 1 sports and leisure teaser week

Hi everyone, this week after we have done our genius hour presentation we have to do the summer learning journey, I picked to do sports and leisure and what I hade to do was come up with 4 different similes using the starts they have if you want to.

Tiny house

Hi everyone, This week we do swimming but I do not so we had to finish 3 activities and swimmers had to finish 1, for one of the swimming activities we had to go in a group of 3 and make a tiny house out of paper, we could also cut out some paper furniture to go with it, we also had a booklet that gave us the instructions on how to build it.

Split Screen week 6 create

This week for our create we had to do a split-screen image of our life vs their life and how different it is and that we have a way better life than they will probably ever get. We created more than one but put our favourite one on our blog.

Hi everyone, today what we had to do as a task was that we had to add photos and words of our childhood vs people in Afghanistan's childhood and as you can see we have a way better life then they will ever get. The things that are crossed out are the things they are not allowed to do.

Hi everyone, this week for our literacy of Boy Overboard which we have finished reading, we had to skim and scan through chapters 1 and 6 and find keywords in those chapters to make into a word art and post it on our blog.

 this term for literacy we have been reading boy overboard and we had to finish it by week 4, once we have finished we have to do a create task of our choice from the slide we had to pick from and at the end of the term, we might watch the movie. Japanese culture

This term for inquiry we will be focusing on art from other countries and we are going to be going in a rotation to learn about the cultures and decide what one we want to do after and I first started with Japanese, our next rotation is next week. We are both looking forward to learn about the other religions, I worked with Greer for this slide we did.

This term if we had finished our inquiry we would go onto the ako and go onto a doc could matrix what you have to do is one of the tasks on there and I choose to do the animate your own google.

Inquiry script

This term for inquiry we have been doing radio, online media, newspaper and television, I picked radio and for radio we had to pick a topic to broadcast and I was in a group with Greer and Mckenna and we choose to do our program for kids and we could it kidz bop. On Monday we went live for kiwi and the local preschool.
 

Week 10 create

This week I choose to do the create a new book cover for the book refugee, I thought it would be really fun because I can add lots to it and make it look really cool and it sounded like lots of fun.

Persuasive writing term 3

This term for writing we have been working on persuasive writing and we made our own persuasive adverts as well as a couple different types of persuasive writing. Our main bit of writing was this one we could choose to do palm oil, why we should have school caps or why families should spend more time together as you can probably see I chose why families should spend more time together. I choose this topic because I thought that I would be able to get a lot of information on it and it could quite easily persuade other people why families should spend more time together. Did this persuade you to spend more time with your family?

Create task week 9

This week I decided to do a drawing for my create because I haven't done a drawing yet for any of them and it sounded like a fun drawing to do for my create.

This week I chose to do a missing person poster for my create task because I thought that it will be fun and will take a lot of creative skills and I like to do stuff like this.

This week in maths we have been working on short division and after we learned, we had to make a video on how to work out short division ngawai and I decided to do an animation then screencastify it.

This week I decided to do a poster and the slogan had to be, fight against the impossible and win.

Refugee novel study create

This week for my creation I decided to do the research,  you have to research cyclones what they are, how they form, what damage they do to people and properties, and where they strike the most. If you did not want to do cyclones you could research the Bahamas or the Mediterranean sea, I chose to do the cyclones though.

This term in reading we have been reading refugee for our novel study, each week we have to do a create and read up to a certain page in the book.

Dust buster advert

This term we have been working on persuasive writing, so this week we did adverts I chose to do a dustbuster, we could choose to do an animation or poster, I choose an animation.

For writing this term we are looking at persuasive language. This animation is to persuade you that orangutans need protecting. Their environment is being destroyed for palm oil we can stop this by not buying products, that contain palm oil.

Volume and capacity

In maths this term we have been doing Volume and Capacity, this week we had to make our own net that held 500ml of water Mckenna and I's can hold 500ml but it was spilling out of the sides because there were a couple holes in it.

Wearable arts

This term we have been doing inquiry and our subject was plastic and how we need to stop Pollution, so we had to get into groups of 1-4 people and we had to create a dress to do with our inquiry then at 5:30 on the last Thursday of the term, we had a wearable arts show. In front of our parents and during the day we did it to some of the school.

This term in literacy we have been working on poems we worked on Rhyming couplets, haiku and more.

This term we have been doing poems for literacy, we could choose if we wanted to do it on the book Once that we recently read or on the war and I choose to do a war poem.
